World Softball Day
Every year, World Softball Day, June 13th, celebrates this exciting team sport. The day also aims to encourage future generations of girls and boys to be empowered by sport.
Softball was invented in 1887 by George Hancock, a Chicago Board of Trade reporter, who invented softball. Softball was first introduced as an indoor sport. In fact, softball was often referred to indoor baseball. It was also called mushball or kittenball when it was played.
The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASAA) organized softball in the United States in 1933. Men were the first to play the game. Women began playing softball as a result of ASAA's incorporation. According to reports, American servicemen in WWII helped spread the sport to the rest of the world. These servicemen served in foreign countries and taught the sport. These servicemen served and taught the sport.
The International Softball Federation (ISF) was established in 1965. The ICF has its global headquarters and training center in Plant City, Florida, and is made up of 127 national governing bodies.
A film called "A Touch of Class" in 1973 helped the sport become a hit in the United Kingdom. Softball will be included in the Summer Olympics in Birmingham, England, on June 13th, 1991. Softball was played for the first time during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics for the first time. The United States captured the gold medal for the sport in the 1996 Olympics, as well as the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2004 Athens Olympics. Japan received the gold medal in softball in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Softball was not represented during the Summer Olympics in 2012 or 2016, whether it was in 2012 or 2016. The sport is scheduled to be played during the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

The history of world softball day has influenced world softball day history
In February 1965 in Melbourne, Australia, the first-ever world softball championship was played. The ISF celebrated the 40th anniversary of the first championship tournament in 2005. Don Porter, then president of the ISF at the time, named the day as World Softball Day on June 13th, 2005. Softball would be included in the Summer Olympics on June 13th, the date it was announced that softball would be included in the Summer Olympics. Since 2005, World Softball Day has been held every year.
