World Productivity Day

Every year on June 20th, World Productivity Day highlights the importance of being efficient. People are also learning how to improve their productivity on a daily basis.

Productivity is defined as the effectiveness of manufacturing of products or services. The quality of making something is also another measure of success. Many farmers believe that productivity is directly related to the quality of their land. Some people associate productivity with the use of their minds or hands. Most employers want their employees to be efficient. Self-employed people must find ways to be as efficient as possible in order to succeed.

There are often barriers to productivity in the workplace, or somewhere else. These barriers may include: These barriers can include:

If it's at home or at work, there are ways to crack these barriers. To be as efficient as possible, it's important to maintain healthy habits. These habits include performing the most important tasks first and breaking tasks into smaller pieces. Taking short breaks every 55 minutes and spending less time on e-mail are both helpful.

Another way to be more efficient is to use the 80/20 rule. According to this rule, 80 percent of the findings came from 20 percent of the attempts. Identify the most significant 20 percent of your work to implement the 80/20 rule. Then shaved off the other 80% of your schedule. This helps you to make more time for activities that have the most impact.
