Ingredients:
Pinhead oatmeal is 14 cup pinhead oatmeal and 14 cup pinhead oatmeal.
¼ cup medium oatmeal
½ cup whole milk
1 cup water
Pinch of salt
Toast the oats until they smell fresh by heating a frying pan over medium-high heat and toasting them until they smell delicious. Place the oats and milk in a medium saucepan along with the milk and water. Bring slowly to a boil. Stir often. Turn off the heat and simmer. Add the salt after five minutes. Simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring often until it is the right consistency. Cover and wait for five minutes. You can also add any delectable toppings of your choice.

The first world porridge day has a long tradition in the United States
On October 10th, 2009, the first World Porridge Day was held. In Argyll, Scotland, the day was launched as a way to raise funds for Mary's Meals. In developing countries, Mary's Meals provides food to starving children.
In conjunction with the World Porridge Making Championship, the World Porridge Day is held. The winner of the coveted "Golden Spurtle" trophy is named. Prizes have been given for the best traditional porridge, which is made of oatmeal, water, and salt. The best specialty porridge is also rewarded with a prize. In Carrbridge, Scotland, the competition is held.
