Every year on September 25th, pharmacists around the world commemorate World Pharmacist Day. This day focuses on the role pharmacists play in improving health on a global basis.

You probably think of the person behind the counter that fills your prescription when it comes to pharmacists. These pharmacists work long hours, often staying the entire time. pharmacists also administer immunizations in addition to dispensing pills and giving tips on medications. New medications are discovered and tested by pharmacists who conduct study.

Pharmacy experts are recognized as medicine experts no matter what role pharmacists work in. These experts have a lot of responsibility in health care. They're up to them to ensure that drugs are safe and effective. In addition to knowing about each type of medication, patients must be aware of the various forms it comes in. There are liquids, tablets, capsules, topical medications, drops, inhalers, and injections. They must also know how different medications react with one another. It's no wonder that it takes eight years of college to become a pharmacist.

The world pharmacist day is the longest in history

In Istanbul, Turkey, the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) established World Pharmacist Day in 2009. The FIP was established on September 25th in 1912 on this day in 1912, and they selected September 25th. Every year there is a theme selected for World Pharmacist Day. Many in the industry promote the themes world-wide. These themes help pharmacists produce national campaigns that showcase their work.
