It's estimated that 900-million insects species can be pests. They fall into four main categories based on body types: 1. beetles; 2. flies; 3. moths and butterflies; and 4. ants, bees, and wasps.

People have been trying to get rid of pests for as long as history has records. To keep the bloodsuckers away, cave dwellers may have swatted mosquitoes or used smoke to discourage the bloodsuckers.

People used sulfur compounds to kill mites and insects as far back as 2500 BC.

The Chinese used predatory ants against rodents such as beetles and caterpillars in 1200 B.C.

In London, H. Tiffin and Son Ltd., one of the first publicly advertised pest control firms, was H. Tiffin and Son Ltd., a 1690 firm. Rat and bed bug control was achieved by the company using techniques and chemical compounds they invented. "Bug Destroyers to Her Majesty and the Royal Family," the Royal Family's emblem read.

Rats are one of the most difficult pests to control. Chemicals, plant extracts, prayers, chanting, chanting, terrier dogs, and music are all examples of methods to control rats. Ratsbane was one of the first chemicals to be used. In the Middle Ages, Barbers sold it in Barbers. Then it became a common item sold by street vendors.

Vermin exterminators immigrated to the United States from 1840 to 1930, from Vermin exterminators to the United States.

Have a licensed pest controller inspect your house at least once a quarter. It will help prevent pests from becoming a problem.
