World Opera Day

Every year on October 25th, World Opera Day sheds a light on opera's contribution to one's health. Opera artists are also honored on the day, and we are encouraged to learn more about this genre of music.

When one thinks of opera, they may immediately think of opera music. Opera is about so much more than opera. An opera is a form of theater that includes an extended dramatic theme. Instruments are used in an opera's musical parts. Other operas often include acting, scenery, costumes, costumes, and ballet.

The first opera by Jacopo Peri was conducted by Jacopo Peri. In Florence, Italy, Dafne was named and wrote it in 1597. Because of this, Italy is also known as the birthplace of opera in the world. Two forms of operas were eventually invented. These included the opera seria and the opera buffa. The former is a dramatic and serious opera, on the other hand, a comedic opera buffa is on the other hand.

During the Baroque period, which spanned 1600 to 1750, opera became extremely popular in Europe. The first opera in the United States was not performed at the French Opera House in New Orleans until 1796. Because of this, New Orleans is regarded as America's First City of Opera.
