World Oceans Day

WORLD OCEANS DAY

Every 8 June, World Oceans Day takes place. It is an annual event that helps protect, protect, and protect the world's oceans. The ocean provides us with many resources and services, including oxygen, climate control, food sources, medicine, and others. The ocean provides us with many products and services such as oxygen, climate control, food sources, and more.

The sea is vital because it: It: It: The sea is vital because it:

  • People are hungry for food. People are provided with food for people
  • Makes oxygen
  • Weather impacts are everywhere. Impacts weather is everywhere
  • Purifies water that flows to the ocean, evaporates, and falls as rain
  • A large number of medications are available through the Internet. Provides the basis for a large number of medications

Use #WorldOceansDay to track the day on social media.

To see many and beautiful ocean creatures, try an internet search of photographs to find diverse and beautiful ocean creatures. The National Geographic website is one of the National Geographic website, which is one of the places to visit.

Since garbage, biota, and bacteria from local streams end up in the ocean, clean up after yourself and join a local beach cleanup.

History

The plan was first introduced in 1992 by Canada's International Centre for Ocean Development (ICOD) and the Ocean Institute of Canada.

The aim of the first World Oceans Day in 1992 was to move the oceans from the sidelines to the forefront of international discussions and to raise the voice of marine and coastal constituencies around the world.

World Oceans Day activities are held on June 8th, the nearest weekend, the week, and the month of June. The day is marked in a variety of ways, including launching new campaigns and initiatives, special events at aquariums and zoos, outdoor explorations, aquatic and beach cleanups, educational and conservation action activities, film festivals, and sustainable seafood festivals.

Since 2016, the World Oceans Day Youth Advisory Council has been leading conservation education and action campaigns around the world.
