World Caring Day
Every year on June 7, World Caring Day shines a spotlight on all the ways we communicate and show each other that we care. We should all take time to honor the millions of acts of kindness we see every day. Both acts of caring, whether large or small, are vital. Caring is ongoing and occurs every day through compassion, care, kindness, and understanding.
#worldcaringday
Caring is one of the easiest ways to express love in a world of many worries. We all have times of crisis, illness, or need. Sharing our journeys and becoming part of a beautiful tale in a divided, cynical world acknowledges and honors those who care. We see patience, knowledge, compassion, and encouragement from all around us when we take the time to notice.
Many people should take the opportunity and practice caring on World Caring Day to remind others that they should take the opportunity and practice caring. We now have to lean into caring for one another more than ever. Genuine love and a blessing are displayed on this day as a way to share your compassion. By honestly asking how someone's day went, it shows that you care and can help that person's overall well-being.
Around the world, caring for the planet's wellbeing is a priority
Both those who care and those who care for are cared for are recognized and respected by those who care. Everyone should rededicate themselves to recognizing, sharing, and participating in acts of kindness by: On June 7th, we encourage everyone to commit themselves to recognizing, sharing, and participating in acts of caring by:
- When you ask how someone is doing with intention and meaning, you get the answer. If you ask someone how they can find out what is going on in their lives, you should care
- Being aware of others's needs. Being aware and sensitive to your loved ones' triggers can help them cope with the shifts in their mood
- Reconnecting online to keep up with your friends and family members who live far away or with those you haven't talked to in a long time reopens friendships
- Making time for your loved ones. We know everyone is busy, but we don't want to be a stranger to your friends and family
- Writing a note. You'll be surprised by how little notes of encouragement can have on others's mood and well-being
- Sharing your tale! www.worldcaringday.org to share your story of caring for a loved one through a challenging health journey. To get inspired, you can also read stories of others
- Joining the conversation by spreading the word is a good thing. Sharing acts of kindness will raise the World Caring Day, particularly if you use #WorldCaringDay on social media
The first world caring day in history has a long tradition
With the nine-day life of a baby named Brighid, inspiration for World Caring Day began on June 7, 1997. Sona Mehring, a software engineer, built the first CaringBridge website after being born prematurely. Baby Brighid's health was monitored online by Sona, colleagues, and family. Brighid and her family's most important, the website provided them with the essentials and support. The idea to build a website was revolutionary at the time because social media platforms were non-existent at the time.
CaringBridge, a worldwide network, was born as a result of this simple act of caring, resulting in the creation of a domino effect. During a health journey, the non-profit group is dedicated to bringing families and families together with their loved ones. Families are helped by the charity to provide care, security, and unwavering assistance. An estimated 45 million people from around the world visited CaringBridge in 2021. On the CaringBridge portals for loved ones, over 1,900 messages of hope, care, and love are posted every hour.
