When is Veterans Day?
Saturday November 11thOn November 11th, Veterans Day honors military veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. On the 11th day of 1918, Germany's Armistice Day and Remembrance Day coincides with Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which commemorates World War I. Initially, the United States observed Armistice Day as well. However, in 1954, it was renamed to the present Veterans Day.
Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day or Armed Forces Day. All United States military veterans are commemorated on Veterans Day in the United States. However, Memorial Day is scheduled for honoring the men and women who died while serving. In addition, Armed Forces Day honors the men and women currently serving in the United States military.
