Falafel is a deep-fried ball made from ground chickpeas for those who don't know what it is. It can also be flat or a doughnut-shaped patty. Falafel is often made with fava beans. Other ingredients may include onions and spices, such as cumin or coriander. Some people eat Falafel on its own, while others stuff it inside a pita and eat it as a wrap. The dish is a favorite among vegetarians and vegans because falafel does not contain any meat or dairy.
Many Middle Eastern countries have lauded falafel for the development of falafel over the years. However, the food was most definitely developed in Egypt, but not so much. Despite this fact, falafel is closely related to Israeli cuisine. In fact, Nisim Garame, a well-known Israeli singer, wrote a song about falafel being the country's national dish.
