What is World Dream Day?

Individuals, families, and communities around the world are encouraged to make their dreams come true each year on September 25th World Dream Day. It's also a day to spark ideas and announce new possibilities.

Many things in our world begin as a dream. This is the way many inventions came into being. It's also how songs and books are written and goals are achieved. Sometimes it's a literal dream that makes something come true. This happened when James Cameron, the world's most well-known filmmaker, became sick and laid down to rest. The Terminator's idea came from a fever dream.

Often, the dream is more than a wish or aspire for something to come true. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s famous address reiterated his call for civil rights and an end to bigotry. Even if those dreams were not fully realized, his dream had a huge effect. This is why goals are so important. They don't have to be fantasies to remain fantasies. They can become a reality with hard work and dedication. Not only will you live better, but also make the world a better place.
