What is Reformation Day?
Reformation Day, one of Christianity's most significant activities, takes place on October 31st. The Protestant Reformation began on this date in 1517.
The Catholic Church's theology dominated Christianity around the world until 1517. That is before an Augustinian monk named Martin Luther began reading the Bible for himself. He was then brave enough to nail his "95 Theses" to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Parts of Luther's theses condemned the Roman Catholic Church for several of its unbiblical activities. One such activity involved asking for payment in order to forego sins. These payments were called indulgences.
Central beliefs
Luther's 95 Theses also contained two central beliefs: two central beliefs: two central beliefs and Luther's 95 Theses.
