What is National Prepareathon! Day?
National PrepareAthon! On April 30th, the United States' Day reminds us that crises do not happen suddenly. Being prepared must happen now, not later.
We must make decisions with little or no warning in the case of earthquakes, floods, or wildfires. Is there an emergency response kit in place with your family in the case of an emergency situation?
PrepareAthon! In the case of a disaster, Day provides tools and information for businesses and families to help them plan their businesses, families, and schools. Whether large or small, it takes members of the community to help prevent a crisis from devolving into a tragedy. Although our emergency services support one arm of the response team, many others step forward. Some assist with a supply chain while others coordinate medical staff. To a fruitful strategy, communication is also crucial. Our blueprints run more smoothly when everyone has a blueprint.
