Future traders and merchants traveling between Europe and China were able to fly between Europe and China thanks to his detailed written record. The invention of the "horseless carriage" semi-truck in 1896 changed how freight moved around the United States in 1896. The first air cargo flight took place in 1910, just 14 years later. The first container ship sailed from New Jersey to Texas by 1956, the first container ship from Dayton and Columbus dramatically increased the speed with which goods could be delivered in the United States. Shipments have forever changed how products moved around the world. These advancements show how logistics connect the world – and always have.
