What is National I Am In Control Day?

On March 30th, National I am in Control Day reminds us of a day when things were clearly out of control.

A bullet lodged in his lung during President Obama's rushed to surgery on a rainy afternoon, causing a remark. "I am in charge here in the White House as of now." Those are the words of Secretary of State Alexander Haig, who swore the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981.

He was arrested by the media for using those words. Haig later explained that he only meant that he was in charge until Vice President George Bush could be sworn in. Bush was en route at the time and was en route.

According to reports, this was the start of National I am in Control Day. This day has evolved and taken on a new sense of meaning. It's a day to get things under control in your personal life on a day-to-day basis.
