What is National Cheddar Day?

On February 13th, National Cheddar Day will have some cheesy goodness!

To be honest, grilled cheese would be buttered bread without melt-able slices piled high; burgers would be lacking a spark without a zinging ooze; mac & cheese would be...mac. So many of our popular American dishes would not be the same without a slice of cheddar's delectableness.

In the 12th century, Cheddar, England's village of Cheddar, first appeared in the village of Cheddar. Although cheddar accounts for more than a quarter of all cheese sold in the United States, it is a royal hit in the United Kingdom, where it was made. In fact, more than half of the cheese sales in the United Kingdom go to cheddar.
