What is National Bootlegger's Day?

BOOTLEGGER'S DAY IS NATIONAL BOOTLEGGER'S DAY.

On January 17, National Bootlegger's Day is annually celebrated.

Many enterprising residents of a small town in Iowa decided to become outlaws when Prohibition outlawed the production and selling of alcoholic beverages on January 17, 1920, making a high-quality and highly coveted whiskey known as TEMPLETON RYE, or "THE GOOD STUFF" to those in the know. Alphonse Kerkhoff was one of Templeton outlaws, according to Alphonse Kerkhoff.

Templeton Rye became Al Capone's whiskey of choice over the course of its storied history, gaining its way to the heart of his bootlegging empire. Templeton Rye is based on the original Prohibition era Kerkhoff recipe. It is aged in charred new oak barrels for a smooth finish and a clean escape.

Templeton Rye's birthday is not only the birthday of the original Bootlegger's son Meryl Kerkhoff, but also Al Capone's birthday and the birthday of Al Capone. www.bootleggerssociety.com Please join our Bootlegger's Society to support our members: www.bootleggerssociety.com
