What is Global Energy Independence Day?
Every year, on July 10th, Global Energy Independence Day raises the need for alternative forms of energy. In addition, the day provides opportunities to learn more about renewable energies, such as solar, wind, and geothermal.
Consider all of the things you use on a daily basis that require electricity. Our cars. Your coffee maker. The heating and cooling system in our homes is controlled by our homes. Your wood-burning stove. So many things that necessitate electricity. It's no surprise that each human being in the world uses about 78 million British thermal units (BTU) of energy per year. The entire population of the world uses over 575 quadrillion Btu of energy each year, which means the world's entire population uses over 575 quadrillion Btu of energy each year. (One BTU equals the amount of electricity released in a single match.)
Oil, coal, and natural gas are three of the most common sources of energy used by people. These forms of energy are also known as fossil fuels. Fossil fuels have sparked a lot of questions. One of the reasons is that they will eventually run out. Air and water pollution, land degradation, and global warming are all typical fossil fuel problems, according to other fossil fuel users. Scientists are being encouraged to find newer forms of energy that can be recharged by these problems. Solar, wind, hydroelectric, nuclear, and geothermal are all examples of energy.
Renewable energy is the only way to achieve energy independence, according to some. This is unfortunately impossible to do, but it is impossible to do. A lack of information about how these energy sources work and also how much money they cost for the consumer are two of the reasons for this. The inconvenience of doing so is one of the biggest barriers in switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy. This is why renewable energy awareness is so critical.
