Volunteer Recognition Day

VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION DAY VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION DAY DAY VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION DAY DAY RECOGNITION DAY

Volunteer Recognition Day is the annual celebration of those who selflessly support others's lives. We are all working towards making the world a better place by giving a helping hand to those in need, humans and animals alike.

Every single one of us has been enriched by the service of a volunteer, and Volunteer Recognition Day acknowledges the beauty of this phenomenon. We can do something outside of our daily list of requirements, which is every direction we go. As you go about your day, honor and thank those who go beyond the mile.

Celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Bono have made a name for themselves outside of the stage for their work with various foundations. Although most of us are not millionaires, their jobs show that anyone can get their hands dirty, step out of their comfort zone, and give a helping to those in need. Although most of us are not millionaires, those in need are not.

Volunteering comes down to finding a cause that inspires you. For those people, caring for animals influences them, while the human condition leads to others requiring them to satisfy the needs of a few or many in their neighborhood, or far and wide. It's impossible not to want to get involved when there are so many opportunities to give love and help to those who won't take it for granted.

Take a moment to honor a volunteer in your life.

Evaluate your current schedule and see where you can fit in time for volunteering to see where you can fit in time for volunteering. Choose a cause you're passionate about! There's always something to be done, whether it's donating your money or, even more important, your time. Your skills are also valuable to companies, so don't forget that. Many volunteer organizations provide programs to people who would otherwise go without if it weren't for volunteers. So think about your particular skill set and consider who it could help if times are tough.

Here are a few ideas to get you off: Here are a few suggestions to get you off:

  • For someone undergoing chemotherapy, wig styling for someone undergoing chemo is required
  • For those who are unable to afford dental insurance, dental services are provided to those who are unable to afford dental insurance
  • Yard care for elderly or disabled people is available in the yard for elderly or disabled
