Our flower gardens are in full bloom this time of year. Keeping them hydrated can sometimes be a full time job. Caring for a living thing is often a therapeutic profession. The more they're nurtured, the more they flourish.
It's important to know whether your flowers prefer damp soil or to be more on the drier side. Seeds that have been planted in the United States will need daily watering until germination. Most plants prefer well-drained soil. If they are potted, they may need daily watering. However, if they are planted in the ground or are heat-resistant plants, they may need less frequent watering.
In addition, the holiday gives people the opportunity to care for the gardens of those who may be homebound or in the hospital. Take the time to visit a friend who may need some cheering by giving them some freshly watered flowers.
