On January 23rd, one of the nations' most popular desserts, National Pie Day, is commemorated. Pie in about every form makes a crowd happy, no matter how you slice it. Fruit pies, berry pies, and cream pies are among the delectable dishes of homemade goodness on offer.

The pie is simply commemorated on National Pie Day. Everyone is encouraged to bake their favorite pie, but more importantly, the day reminds us to enjoy eating pies. Will it be in a mode? The only other thing to ask is: will it be al a mode?
Did you know, the first pies appeared around 9500 BC in Egypt's Neolithic period or New Stone Age? So, humans have been eating pies for a long time. We shouldn't have a problem finding one we love among so many to choose from. We celebrate the day twice a year (more than their cousin National Pi Day) after all.

National pie day is the oldest national pie day in history
In 1986, the American Pie Council introduced National Pie Day to commemorate Crisco's 75th anniversary of "serving foods to families around the world."

A. There are a few reasons why pies are round. A circle is a more natural result of this process when making the dough and rolling it out. Also, the dough that was wrapped around the ingredients much like hand pies is still made today. A round shape bakes more evenly than others. Now, if a pie was squared, mathematically there would be more pie.
