National Pen Pal Day, which is observed each year on June 1st, is a way to tell your pen pals how much money they mean to you. The day is the perfect time to send special letters and gifts to your pen pals.

- Pen pals give us a broader view of the world
- We continue to improve our writing skills
- Writing letters gives us a break from electronics as well
- If your pen pal speaks another word, your correspondence expands each other's vocabulary

Letter writers have always enjoyed having pen pals in their lives. Some have become well-known, while others have developed life-long friendships that began in childhood.
