National Nude Day

Laundry is unnecessary on July 14th. It's National Nude Day! Enjoy an air bath or investigate the naturist movement.

One thing is for certain, the observance provides a way to cool on a hot, humid summer day. Nudist organisations around the world celebrate this holiday and take it seriously, as well. And if Nudists (also known as naturists) are not perverts, Nudists are not perverts, even though their desire to go au natural may be offending to the conservative community. They are people who believe the human body is the most beautiful in its natural state. Nudists encourage people to remove the clothing restrictions and be natural, whether or not you comply with them.

Benjamin Franklin is said to take air baths by the open window of his room, allowing the fresh air to drift around his birthday suit. The postmaster did not invent the naturist movement, nor did it take over a particular region by storm.

For a good reason, the Northern Hemisphere does not mess about in January; its observance is firmly planted during the middle of the summer months.

Lighter luggage for travel for vacation, and smaller loads of laundry were two of the lifestyle's most noticeable benefits, as mentioned before. In addition, there are other benefits. Without the protection of clothing, wrinkles and sagging that have come with time cannot be camouflaged. Acceptance is now more authentic, normal, and reassuring.

However, wearing sunblock is still recommended during outdoor activities. Watch out for poison ivy, oak, and sumac. Roses do have thorns, as do many other plants and animals. When recommended, wear protective gear. Skateboarding comes to mind.

International Skinny Dipping Day and International Nude Recreation Week are two other notable activities taking place in July.
