National Kitten Day
The cuddly warmth of a kitty is perfectly celebrated on National Kitten Day on July 10th. With no effort at all, these tiny fur balls of energy snuggled our hearts. We're in love within a flick of their tiny ears.

Although kittens are able to find their way into our hearts, many don't find homes. They're abandoned at shelters, on the side of the road or wild and feral, and feral. Our dogs, including our cats, are vital to their wellbeing and keeping the stray population down.
Adoptions are still a target of awareness campaigns like this one. Adopt from a shelter instead of buying a kitten from a pet store. Many kittens are born in shelters. Although their ages may vary, all kittens do become cats.
Adoption tips
When adopting, be sure to follow the shelter's guidelines and keep these tips in mind.
Fuzzy Bear may have health problems or doesn't get along with children, or maybe he doesn't get along with children. Perhaps another kitten goes along with dogs better than dogs. All of these factors will be considered on your application.
How to celebrate national kitten day
Play with your kitten or buy her a new one. Take a picture of your kitten to post on social media. Volunteer your time and visit a shelter. If you are considering getting a kitten, adopt rather than buying one. To tell your tale, use #NationalKittenDay.
