National Clean Beauty Day

This observation has prompted brands to produce clean and sustainable beauty products from the start of their life cycle to the end. Consumers are educating consumers about the best product choices at the same time. For a more sustainable world, the movement is calling for a change in our clean beauty practices.

TionalCleanBeautyDay

Clean Beauty concentrated solely on formulas and ingredients until now. More clean beauty has to mean more. It must embrace everything from ingredient sourcing to manufacturing techniques, focusing on customer transparency, and the desire to innovate for future generations.

Plastic is the world's largest plastic producer. Every year, the world produces 260 million tons of plastic. Less than ten percent of it will ever be recycled. Plastic by weight will be found in landfills or as litter in our immediate environment by 2050, according to estimates.

National Clean Beauty Day is a call to action for the beauty industry to produce clean ingredients. It also honors the changemakers who are creating circular, restorative products. Clean Beauty empowers future generations by fostering a more sustainable beauty industry.

Consumers are increasingly demanding good-for-you ingredients and environmentally friendly packaging from their products. Consumers and the environment will reap the benefits as the beauty industry evolves and expands these options.

History of national clean beauty day has spanned history

In 2020, FEKKAI introduced National Clean Beauty Day to bring attention to the industry's new state. Fekkai began the day to inspire current and future generations so we can improve our clean beauty products and create a more sustainable beauty industry.

About fekkai

In 1989, Frédéric Fekkai, the legendary hairstylist, founded the FEKKAI brand. Frédéric sold his brand after a long and fruitful career, including national salons and successful product lines, Frédéric sold his brand. A realization struck him one morning. The beauty industry had not yet caught up to the rest of the world in terms of clean product formulations and sustainability. Frédéric's attempt to bring innovation to the beauty market was revived.

With the relaunch of FEKKAI in January 2020, Frédéric reacquired his brand and put his vision into motion in November of 2018. FEKKAI creates clean and sustainable haircare by using vegan, cruelty-free, and salon-grade formulas. r phthalates are present in their formulas, which are free of nasties and full of results – no sulfates, silicones, paraben, or phthalates.

Not only does the company make their packaging from 95% recycled plastic, but it's also locally sourced. Each bottle and tube are 100% recyclable on its own, which makes each bottle and tube 100% recyclable. In addition, the shipping boxes are 100% recyclable, and packing materials are 100% recyclable. FEKKAI reduces an estimated 330 tons of plastic waste and moves it to recycling plants as a result. The recycling plants are reprocessed and convert the waste into usable plastic here in the United States.

This is FEKKAI's contribution to future generations and the planet. Plastic will be repurposed 64 million grams of plastic in the brand's first year. That's about 7 million plastic bottles, and they're just getting off.
