National Camera Day
Every year, when we celebrate National Camera Day, we bring everything into focus on June 29th. Photographs, the camera, and their invention are among the day's commemorated photographs. A camera is an irreplaceable device used to capture and replicate memories, events, and people/places. A painting was the only way to record a vision before the camera was invented. Capturing an image of a person or place in a drawing took time and patience. Very few people can accurately portray someone's likeness, let alone capture the essence of an event.
National Hug Holiday Day
A hug will speak louder than words. A simple hug can make a person's day, emotions, and even their life. Although everyone loves a hug, National Hug Holiday Day was designed to remind people that if someone is having a bad day is sick, lonely, sad, or elderly. This simple act will bring love and warmth to a person in need.

On June 29th, Waffle enthusiasts will be officially recognized on National Waffle Iron Day. Some people like their waffles plain with syrup, but we like ours topped with berries and whipped cream, too. Who knew that a basic machine would have such a huge effect on our lives!
