National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day, a favorite during many holidays, is a highlight on January 3rd. In addition, the National Confectioners Association has long known to celebrate this day as an annual event.
National Drinking Straw Day
On January 3rd National Drinking Straw Day commemorates the date in 1888 when Marvin C. Stone was granted the patent for the paper drinking straw. Since then, a variety of drinking straws have been used.
