International Sushi Day

SUSHI DAY IS THE INTERNATIONAL SUSHI DAY.

A Japanese dish of rice, seasonings, and vinegar is commemorated on June 18 in Japan. It's National Sushi Day!

Sushi chefs prepare a variety of delicate and delectable morsels that may include cooked or raw fish, vegetables, and nori seaweed. Sashimi is a Japanese word that means fish without sushi (rice) is known as Sashimi. The way sushi is made and the ingredients used determines its name.

Don't let sushi's rules discourage you from trying it. Today is a day to remind people to eat more of it. Try chopsticks to make it a food journey. Learn how ginger cleanses the palate in a variety of flavors so your mouth is set to try new, delicious varieties of sushi.

Develop your ability to recognize aromas, plants, and seasonings. Making sushi is an art form, and the resulting pieces are just as beautiful as they are delectable. Often the pleasure comes from admiring the presentation as well as the dining experience.

Ask for recommendations to a sushi restaurant near you. Invite friends to join you and order a few different types of sushi to try. If you're already a fan of sushi, consider taking someone to a sushi bar for the first time. Or, take a class and learn to make sushi yourself. On social media, use the hashtag #SushiDay to post.
