International Falafel Day
Falafel Day is held every year on June 12th. Falafel enthusiasts gather together to celebrate International Falafel Day. It's also a day to encourage people who have never tried falafel to try it.
Falafel is a deep-fried ball made from ground chickpeas for those who don't know what it is. It can also be flat or a doughnut-shaped patty. Falafel is often made with fava beans. Other ingredients may include onions and spices, such as cumin or coriander. Some people eat Falafel on its own, while others stuff it inside a pita and eat it as a wrap. The dish is a favorite among vegetarians and vegans because falafel does not contain any meat or dairy.
Many Middle Eastern countries have lauded falafel for the development of falafel over the years. However, the food was most definitely developed in Egypt, but not so much. Despite this fact, falafel is closely related to Israeli cuisine. In fact, Nisim Garame, a well-known Israeli singer, wrote a song about falafel being the country's national dish.
Here are a few of the lyrics: Here are a few of the songs.
Every child knows that macaroni is Italian.
The Austrians in Vienna's delicious schnitzel are a hit at the Austrians in Vienna.
The French eat frogs, and the French eat frogs...
We have falafel, falafel, and falafel.
Eventually, the popular Middle Eastern dish spread to other countries around the world, including the United States.
Despite the fact that falafel is deep-fried in oil, the dish does have some health benefits. Falafel is a good source of fiber and plant-based protein. The chickpeas in the dish help to control blood sugar levels. It's best not to deep fry falafel to get the health benefits of the dish. Baking falafel can be a healthier alternative to falafel.
