International Sculpture Day
International Sculpture Day, the last Saturday in April, raises the profile, appreciation, and admiration of sculpture every year. It's also a day for sculptors around the world to showcase their artistic talents.
Sculpture is a form of fine art that works in three dimensions. sculpture comes from the Latin word sculpere, which means to carve. Sculptors create their sculptures from a variety of materials. Although many of the traditional materials include wood, stone, metal, and ceramics, some sculptors specialize in non-traditional materials. They use items such as ice, toothpicks, and even LEGOs. Sculptors can also use materials, colors, texture, and size to evoke an emotion or response from the viewer. Their methods are also very different. Sculptors create their sculptures using one of four primary methods. These techniques include carving, molding, casting, and assembling.

History of the international sculpture day has influenced international sculpture day events
In 2015, the International Sculpture Center established International Sculpture Day. The International Sculpture Center established International Sculpture Center in The International Sculpture Center established International Sculpture Day. 50 events were held in 12 countries during the inaugural event. Over 20 countries hosted over 200 events in just its second year. Each year, the day continues to grow.
