## The national pan American day is the national pan American day.
On April 14th each year, the First International Conference of American States, which began on April 14, 1890, is commemorated. During Pan American Week, the observance takes place.
United States Secretary of State James G. Blane first suggested the idea of an International Conference for the Western Hemisphere inspired by Panamerica's dream of a Panamerica. The conference began in October of 1889, but it took almost a decade to begin, but in October of 1889, it began. The national pan American day is the oldest in national pan American history
On April 14, 1931, President Herbert Hoover declared the first official National Pan American Day. Pan American Day celebrations took place on various days throughout the year and around the country before the President's proclamation. Each one of the Western Hemisphere and the North and South American continents featured cultural performances and festivals. Many of the activities featured political speakers and development agencies.
Expositions featured cultural performances, including art, music, and food. They also brought together company executives. Schools developed educational opportunities for students, and communities held parades to commemorate the day.
