World Homeopathy Day
Every year on April 10th, World Homeopathy Day honors Dr. Christian Friedrich Hahnemann, the father of homeopathy. The day also challenges the ability and tactics that will help develop homeopathy.
Homeopathy comes from the Greek words homeo, which means related, and pathos, which means suffering or disease. "Mate cures like" is the alternative therapy of medicine. In other words, the ingredients that cause symptoms of the said illness cure the disease. For example, red onions are known to make the eyes water. For this reason, homeopathy uses red onion as an ingredient in allergy remedies.
Homeopathy uses medications that cause symptoms that can also stimulate the body's healing process. Plant, animal, trace, and synthetic chemicals are among the many common homeopathic remedies. The ingredients are usually very diluted. For the most part, Western medicine dismisses homeopathy's use. However, there are documented instances where homeopathic remedies have cured people of their disease.
According to the Homeopathy Research Institute (HRI), 200 million people around the world use homeopathy regularly. Half of these people are in India. There are 200,000 registered homeopathic doctors in India, with 12,000 doctors added each year.
The figures in the United States are much smaller. Homeopathy is used by nearly 6 million people in the United States for self-care and specific health problems. Homeopathy is used in several countries, including Brazil, Mexico, and Switzerland, to include Brazil, Mexico, and Switzerland. Homeopathy is also used in their national health care system.
