National Chocolate Caramel Day

On National Chocolate Caramel Day, a popular combination is celebrated each year. Enjoy chocolate and caramel in your new candy bar, ice cream, or dessert on March 19th. The World's Colombian Exposition, 1893, came to Chicago. Hershey's obsession with an exhibit containing machinery for the production of German chocolate became apparent. He was so curious, in fact, he bought the equipment. Soon he was making chocolate bars, many of which contained his company's bedrock ingredient, caramel.
