International Podcast Day
The International Podcast Day (September 30th) commemorates the promotion of podcasts and the technologies surrounding it. People around the world listen to their favorite podcasts to stay up with the most up-to-date news, technology, entertainment, or news.
Podcasts are digital audio recordings of radio-style shows. Listeners can download, play directly from a website, or access via an app or digital media player. Video is also included in many podcasts. These on-demand audio files sell subscriptions as well, building a library of podcasts available to listeners. Podcasts are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unlike broadcast radio, which follows a schedule.
Podcasts are also a great way to listen often and often, as the new trend of binge-watching a TV series. And while podcast topics may vary, the designs may differ.
- The Interview – The host of the podcast shifts the focus to a topic by interviewing a guest
- In a conversational style, the host and co-host provide details. In a natural way, their banter and commentary bounce back and forth
- The host tells tales from history, electronics, discoveries, or news
- Monologue – All on their own, the host records the show. Regardless of the topic, they inform their followers with their own style
- Theater – Consider old-time radio shows. Casts create original fictional stories with sound effects. These podcasts are also available to people of all ages and genders

Let them know you're listening and how much you love their shows.
