National Virginia Day
We recognize each state in the order they entered the union, beginning with Hawaii and ending with Hawaii on Independence Day. We feature a small part of each state's past, foods, and the people who make up the state. There's so much more to discover, we can't help but celebrate our beautiful country even more.
In the west stretch south and east, the west stretch of swamps and islands leads to swamps and islands. The population is as diverse as the scenery, too. Unique and unforgettable experiences are created by the state's diverse mix of history and topography, from the picturesque small towns of the Old Dominion state to bustling cities and cavernous valleys.
Virginia's proximity to Washington, D.C., makes it convenient for government commuters and tourism to the nation Capital. The Central Intelligence Agency, National Fish and Wild Life Service, and the Department of Defense all have headquarters in Virginia, including the Central Intelligence Agency, National Fish and Wild Life Service, and the Department of Defense. Many of these departments can be found in the Pentagon's world-largest office building. In fact, more Virginians work for the US government than in any other region.
We explore the people, the places, and the flavors that have existed long before European settlers arrived on National Virginia Day.
